CGM in Type 2 Where next?

16 Nov 2023
Keynote Theatre

The place of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in T1 Diabetes is well established, but what role (if any) can CGM play in the care of people with T2 Diabetes? Currently the guidelines centre around more complex cases, people using insulin. But where next? For some years Dr Unwin has been working closely with his T2D patients to come up with some ideas. Certainly the recommendations for more 'time in range' as well as improved HbA1c levels give a clue!

Learning outcomes:

  • Learn about the current guidelines around CGM and T2D
  • Learn more about the functionality of a commonly used system
  • Get ideas about how you may be able to help your patients with T2D with poor control who are otherwise difficult to help
Speakers
Dr David Unwin, RCGP Clinical expert in diabetes - Norwood Surgery
