Through collaboration with the NHS Diabetes team, NHS Diabetic Eye Screening programme team and Diabetes UK, a full review of invitation and results letters was undertaken, and the recommendations have informed the future communications of the programme, supporting improved engagement, understanding and uptake.
As part of the transformation of the NHS diabetic eye screening programme, this session will also provide a brief overview of the implementation of 24-month extended screening intervals which began in October 2023.
