Multi-Risk Factor Intervention in Type 2 Diabetes: Helping the Person to Engage in Risk Reduction Strategies
Type 2 Diabetes brings with it significant risk for cardio and cerebro-vascular events, in addition to microvascular disease. Multi risk factor intervention is crucial but so is the importance of patients’ accepting the potential for future events, in order for them to accept and engage with the proposed interventions. This session will explore both patient perceptions and multiple risk factor management in Type 2 Diabetes.
