Future of Diabetes Care Theatre

This presentation will give an overview of the burden of diabetes health costs in the UK, with a particular focus on prescribing costs in primary care. Clair Ranns and Helen O’Neil will share some of the strategies adopted by the Medicines Optimisation Teams of 2 large primary care organisations (West Yorkshire ICB and the North East and Cumbria CSU) to help address some of these challenges, including direct cost saving QIPP (Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention) as well a longer term transformational QIPP projects.
