IDDT post-conference report

IDDT post-conference report

IDDT was delighted to be one of the sponsors of this free-to-attend Conference for registered healthcare professionals who were given the opportunity to explore the future of diabetes care, discover the latest technology, and gain key clinical updates.

The Conference was attended by several thousand healthcare professionals from secondary, primary and community care. There was real-world, practical learning from top practitioners and leaders on topics such as the prevention, treatment and care of Type 1 and Type 2, the role of digital and technology, service innovations, tackling health inequalities, and more.

IDDT’s stand was manned by Dan Owens from Orange Juice Communications and Anne Aubin, a Trustee from IDDT. Anne commented “The first hour and a half of Day 1 was literally the hardest physical labour I have done for a decade! The stand was mobbed with people wanting IDDT patient information booklets, bags and the now, famous IDDT stress pigs.”

Over two days nearly 5,000 booklets were given to the healthcare professionals visiting our stand, many of whom are already receiving our free booklets to give to their patients. IDDT is happy to help in this way as it means that more people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes are receiving information to help them to understand and better manage their diabetes.
