Over 3500 healthcare professionals gathered in London this month for Diabetes Professional Care
Diabetes Professional Care opened its doors on 15-16 November 2023 at Olympia London to 3,500+ healthcare professionals, more than 100 speakers and 72 exhibitors. The entire diabetes community from across primary, secondary and community care gathered to hear the latest in treating, managing, and caring for people with diabetes.
Some of the event’s highlights included a national update on the NHS Diabetes Programme from Partha Kar and Shaun Crowe. Nadia Malik covered diabetes and Ramadan, Heather Bell talked about women’s health and diabetes and Chirag Bakhai spoke about the NHS Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission Programme, plus much more.
Feedback on Diabetes Professional Care 2023 was hugely positive with attendees reporting two successful days of learning, business and networking. Delegates and exhibitors alike noted that the show exceeded their expectations with an increased quality of visitors.
Chris Chapman, COO, GlucoRx said: ‘This is the biggest show of its time, to get all types of healthcare professionals all under one roof at the same time.’ and Paul Cheverton, National Sales Manager, Dexcom said: ‘The level of engagement and the energy is always absolutely fabulous.’.
Kriss Owen, GP & Clinical Lead for Diabetes at Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board, Littlewick Medical Centre also expressed: ‘There’s loads of choices of things to go to, lots of really interesting people to meet, lots of updates and it’s been really nice networking with people’.
Show Manager, Tereza Illikova commented after the event: ‘After a record-breaking number of attendees at last year’s show, it was fantastic to see another successful edition with a busy exhibition floor and over-flowing theatres as audiences engaged with the sessions delivered by our expert speaker faculty.
We are very grateful to all our sponsors, partners, and steering committee for their incredible support and to our world-leading speakers who shared their expertise so generously. Thanks to them, we were able to put together a high-quality programme filled with sessions which reflected the latest policy, best practice and knowledge in diabetes care.
Diabetes Professional Care has been absolutely brilliant this year. The team set out to make it best edition to date and I think we got there. I’m excited to see what lies ahead for our 2024 event, as we have some new plans set in place, where we take on Cardiovascular Professional Care. So, it is with great pleasure that we can announce that work has already begun on the Diabetes Professional Care 2024 conference.’
