Anne Kilvert was a consultant diabetologist, working at Northampton General Hospital for many years with Charles Fox She has now retired from clinical practice but she and Charles continue to support and encourage healthcare professionals to use a person-centred, empowering approach to healthcare professionals working with people with diabetes. The Knuston Hall Diabetes Counselling and Empowerment course has been attended by many healthcare professionals over the more than thirty years it has been running and many participants have subsequently told us that it transformed their approach to working with people with diabetes.
