I am a diabetes specialist nurse and diabetes nurse education lead for Swansea Bay University Hospital, Wales. I lead on the ThinkGlucose quality and improvement project within Swansea. I work pan health board with the aim of making improvements across primary, community and secondary care. I have worked in General Practice running nurse led diabetes/CVD clinics; community diabetes specialist nurse; a clinical lead/lecturer in Education for Health in Warwick; ThinkGlucose lead and Diabetes Nurse Educator. I have led or been involved with several National and local projects. I am passionate about empowering people (including myself) to improve their knowledge, skills and confidence to improve care for people living with diabetes.
