Dr Jack Sargeant is Lead Research Associate for Lifestyle and Health Research at the Leicester Diabetes Centre and within the Lifestyle Theme of the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC). His research interests focus on the role of lifestyle behaviours, along in combination with other clinical managements strategies (e.g. pharmacotherapy, metabolic surgery etc) on the prevention and management of long-terms conditions, most prominently obesity, type 2 diabetes, and chronic liver disease. He also has a special interest in under-represented groups including adults with early-onset type 2 diabetes (<40 years).
