Dr Katherine Wakelin qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Surrey in 2021 after completing her doctorate in clinical psychology. She now works part time as a NHS clinician in a specialist trauma service, and part time as a research fellow at the University of Surrey. As a research fellow she has worked on the PRIORITY Trial, a randomised control trial investigating the effect of a psychological parenting intervention for preventing the development of disordered eating in adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes. Within her role she recruited participates, delivered the intervention to families and managed the data collection for the research trial.
