Dr Rose-Marie Satherley
Lecturer in Clinical Psychology,
University of Surrey
Rosie earned a PhD in Psychology from the University of Birmingham and conducted post-doctoral research at King's College London and the University of Surrey. Her main research interest lies in the intersection between dietary-managed conditions and disordered eating. During her PhD, she successfully developed a model of disordered eating in such conditions and created a screening tool to identify high-risk individuals. Rosie also played a crucial role in co-designing the PRIORITY trial, a psychoeducation intervention aimed at preventing disordered eating in children and young people with type one diabetes. Furthermore, she supervises trainee clinical psychologists in mixed methods research focusing on disordered eating in dietary-managed conditions, including type one diabetes.
