Ines Fonseca
Highly Specialised Diabetes and Endocrinology Pharmacist,
Manchester Royal Infirmary
Ines is a Diabetes and Endocrinology Pharmacist at Manchester University NHSFT. She has a special interest in inpatient diabetes emergencies, interdisciplinary cross-sector work and cardio-renal-metabolic care.
Ines is a member of the UKCPA Diabetes and Endocrinology Committee and an active non-medical prescriber within the Diabetes MDT, responsible for providing holistic care reviews and for championing medicines optimisation. As a true advocate of higher education, Ines is currently a specialist visiting lecturer at the Universities of Manchester, Sheffield Hallam and Bradford.
With a patient-centred approach, Ines is dedicated to advocate the role of clinical pharmacy within diabetes care and multimorbidity.
