James Ridgeway
Education and Research Associate, Eden and Diabetes Specialist Nurse,
University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust
James combines his passion for Diabetes with two exciting roles. He works as an Education and Research Associate in the award-winning Eden (diabetes education for HCP’s) team at the world-renowned Leicester Diabetes Centre, at University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust. Here, he is also a Diabetes Nurse Specialist supporting in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
A nurse for nine years and living with Type 1 Diabetes since 2012, James brings a unique blend of lived experience and health care knowledge to his work. He designs and delivers training and mentoring interventions across all areas of Diabetes which includes leading an innovative local peer support group.
