In her early career, before starting a family, Jane studied and gained a BA(Hons) Degree while working in the pharmaceutical industry. After her children had started school, she saw a vacancy for a Trainee Screener/Grader.
She applied, and the rest, as they say, is history!
She has now been working for the West Sussex Diabetic Eye Screening Programme for nearly 20 years and is currently Grading Manager.
She is passionate about the need for people to understand how diabetes can affect their eyesight and is a firm believer in prevention being better than cure.
