Paul has worked as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse now for some 26 years with posts in Brighton, Leicester, York and now North Lincolnshire. He has a background in behaviours (RNMH) and general Nursing (RGN). After gaining an MSc in Diabetes, he was employed half-time as a Lecturer Practitioner in Diabetes at the University of York, teaching at pre-registration level through to trained nurses, medical students and (particularly) Practice Nurses and GP’s. Since then, Paul has taught and facilitated extensively throughout the UK, promoting evidence-based approaches to diabetes management, behavioural strategies and effective running of diabetes clinics. His educational sessions are consistently highly evaluated in terms of clinical content, relevance and practicality. He still practices clinically 2 days a week at North Lincolnshire NHS Trust as a Clinical Nurse Specialist -Diabetes. He also has his own educational consultancy: (BetaPresentations Ltd).
