Paula is the lead inpatient diabetes specialist nurse at University Hospital Southampton where she has worked as a DSN for 10 years. She is a non-medical prescriber and has recently completed her Msc in Diabetes with the University of Leicester. Paula has been one of the Genetic diabetes nurses (MODY) for the south region for the past 4 years.
Paula is a committee member of both the DISN group and RCN diabetes forum. She lectures at the University of Southampton on the Msc and post grad courses.
