I’m a diabetes youth worker, part of a transition project since February 2023. This is my first health care position, but I’ve been a youth worker in a range of settings for over 20 years. I'm passionate about supporting vulnerable young people with diverse needs affecting their health behaviours, especially the challenges of managing diabetes during adolescence. I recognise the relentless psycho-social pressures involved in managing diabetes and aim to help them build confidence, resilience, and aspirations. I enjoy outdoor activities especially sailing.
